Sue Scott,  1992 Award Recipient

Sue Scott is the co-matriarch of interpreters as is Mary Lou Bingham.  She has inspired, nurtured, and helped to educate more interpreters than any other person I know.  If not for Sue Scott I would not be in this gratifying profession.  She is the ONLY person who was willing to spend time with me and actually hold my hand while I was a “baby interpreter” five years ago.  I am now an NAD (level 5) and RID certified interpreter.

I owe Sue Scott more than I could ever repay.  She, more than any other person I know, deserves this award.  In fact we should have a “Sue Scott” award in my opinion! :-)  I hope to be able to return the favor to other “babies” as I can.  She is the “Mother” to many!!
